Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Spendspace, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process your data.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected within the app or on our official page. Continued use of Spendspace after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

To use Spendspace, you must be at least 13 years old, or meet the minimum age required by law in your country. By using the app, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Use of the App

Spendspace lets you record personal and shared expenses and income, organize them into categories and budgets, and share a Space with other members. You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws.

You agree not to:

• Copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the app without prior written consent
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to hack any part of the app or its systems
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful material
• Abuse the shared Space feature or enter records on behalf of others without their consent
• Use the app in a way that infringes the rights of others

4. Account and Security

Spendspace uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. You are responsible for safeguarding your Apple ID and any activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account has been accessed without authorization, notify us immediately at spendspace.app@outlook.com.

5. Shared Spaces

When you invite someone to a Space, every member of that Space can view, add, edit, and delete records within it. You are responsible for choosing whom you share a Space with and for any records added under your account.

If a member leaves a Space or is removed, they lose access to new records in that Space going forward.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Spendspace offers free and paid subscription plans that unlock additional features. Payments are processed securely through Apple's App Store using your Apple ID.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings. Prices may vary by region and currency. We reserve the right to change pricing with prior notice.

We do not store or have access to your payment information.

7. Free Trials and Promotions

From time to time, Spendspace may offer free trials or promotional pricing. Free trials automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw promotions at any time.

8. Refund Policy

All refunds are handled directly by Apple in accordance with the App Store refund policy. We do not issue refunds directly for subscriptions or in-app purchases.

9. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you enter into Spendspace (expenses, income, categories, budgets, notes, receipt photos — "User Content"). Spendspace processes User Content only to provide the app's features, including syncing across your devices and sharing with members of any Space you create.

We do not sell or share your User Content with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

10. Data Storage and Processing

Spendspace uses Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage) to store and sync your data across devices and Space members. While we take reasonable measures to protect data, no system is completely secure, and you use the app at your own risk.

11. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in Spendspace, including software, design, text, graphics, and branding, are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or reuse any part of the app without prior written permission.

12. Third-Party Services

Spendspace integrates with third-party services (e.g., Google Firebase, Apple App Store, Sign in with Apple). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party services. Their use is governed by their own terms.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Spendspace is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or compatibility with all devices. Spendspace is not a financial advisor, accountant, or tax preparer, and should not be relied upon as such.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Spendspace. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Spendspace if you violate these Terms or misuse the app. You may stop using the app and cancel your subscription at any time. Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect.

16. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be made available in the app or on our official page. Continued use of Spendspace constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
